On July 5, 2026, Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit conducted a targeted traffic stop in Oyster Bed Bridge, resulting in the seizure of 62 grams of cocaine, over $2,500 cash, cell phones and other drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation, 41-year-old Robert Scharman has been charged with CDSA 5(2) possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes (s. 88 CCC).
30-year-old Samantha Beer has also been charged with CDSA 5(2) possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with a release order (s. 145 CCC).
Both were remanded in custody and will appear in court on July 16, 2026.
