At approximately 11:15 am yesterday, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a collision that occurred at the intersection of Belvedere Avenue and North River Road.
The collision involved a vehicle that was turning from Belvedere Avenue onto North River Road and struck a pedestrian that was crossing the road at the same time.
The pedestrian suffered injuries (believed to be minor and non-life threatening) and was transported by IEMS to the QEH. The driver of the vehicle was charged under the motor vehicle act with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
