At 6:30 pm last night (Dec 14), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a male causing a disturbance on Weymouth Street. Police located the male whom was intoxicated and aggressive with witnesses and Police. Police arrested the male for being intoxicated in a public place. During the arrest, the male spat on and kicked one of the Officers.
A 40 Charlottetown male has been charged with assaulting a Police Officer and mischief under $5000 dollars. The accused has been released and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
