Arrest on Warrant Results in Drug Charges

At approximately 1:30 pm yesterday afternoon (July 22), Charlottetown Police Services arrested a male that was subject to an arrest warrant for having failed to appear in Provincial Court earlier in the month.

During the process of arrest, Police located a bag that contained over 400  tablets stamped with ” ICE “. These tablets are also known as speed pills and contain methamphetamine.

The Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit are assisting with this drug investigation.

A 38 year old Springton PEI man has been charged with Possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking which falls under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act .

The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
