On July 9, 2025, Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit arrested and charged 25-year-old Richard Joseph LeClair with six offences including flight from police, dangerous driving and possession of a stolen vehicle. This is in addition to the nine other charges laid earlier this month.
25-year-old Richard Joseph LeClair has been charged with 15 offences including:
- Taking a vehicle without consent (s. 335 CCC)
- Theft under $5,000 (s. 334 CCC)
- Possession of a stolen vehicle – two counts (s. 354 CCC)
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (s. 320 CCC)
- Flight from Police (s. 320 CCC)
- Prohibited driving – three counts (s. 320 CCC)
- Breach of probation – six counts (s. 733 CCC)
LeClair was remanded into custody and will appear in court on July 17, 2025.
