Three Separate Impaired Drivers Charged on Saturday

Charlottetown Police Services have charged three (3) impaired drivers in a 24 hour period.

File: 2021664646 – At 1:09 am Saturday morning, while on routine patrol, Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving erratically on Belmont Street.  The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 24 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

File: 2021666443 – At 12:30 pm on Saturday afternoon,  Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Minna Jane Drive.  Police located the vehicle  and  performed a traffic stop.  The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 60 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

File: 2021669680 – At 11:20 pm Saturday night, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Nassau Street.  Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.  The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 71 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

All charged individuals will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
