Targeted Vehicle Stop Results in Drug Charges

Yesterday morning (Aug 17) at 10:20 am , Charlottetown Police Street Crime Unit arrested a male following a targeted traffic stop on Belvedere Avenue and seized a quantity of hydromorphone tablets.

A 60 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

This is the second drug trafficking charge against the accused in just over a month,  he was arrested and charged for the same offence on July 14th.  He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court tomorrow for a show cause hearing.
