On July 21, 2026, Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit conducted a targeted traffic stop in Charlottetown and seized 20 grams of fentanyl, 110 grams of methamphetamine, cash, cell phones and other drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Jason Fitzpatrick has been charged with CDSA 5(2) possession (of fentanyl and methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking. A 30-year-old female was also charged with CDSA 5(2) possession (of fentanyl and methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking.
Fitzpatrick was remanded in custody and will appear in court on September 3, 2026. The female was released and will appear in court in September.
