At 1:15 am this morning, Charlottetown Polices Services responded to a 911 call reporting that a light standard was blocking the road on Riverside Drive following a single vehicle accident.
Police attended the scene to observe debris and the light standard on the road. The unoccupied vehicle involved in the collision was located a short distance away. Police did located the vehicle driver a short time later. Impairment was not a factor with the collision however, a 42 year old Charlottetown man was issued two tickets under the Highway Traffic Act for driving while suspended and failing to report the accident to Police.
