Two Impaired Drivers Charged Over the Long Weekend

Charlottetown Police Services responded to several complaints of possible impaired drivers over the weekend, two of which have led to criminal code charges.

On Sunday Nov 10th at approximately 1:20 am, Police noticed a vehicle driving in the wrong direction on Kent Street.  The vehicle was pulled over and Police determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.  A 20 year old St Felix man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

On Monday Nov 11th at approximately 1:45 pm, Police responded to a complaint of an intoxicated female getting into a vehicle and driving away on Mount Edward Road.   Police located the female driver a short time later and arrested her for impaired driving.  A 40 year old Charlottetown woman was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

The two accused’s will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
