At approximately 10:30 pm Friday night, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Mount Edward Road. Police were able to locate the vehicle, effected a traffic stop and determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol.
A 48 year old Charlottetown male provided breath samples that were over twice the legal limit and was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
