Arrest Warrant Leads to Drug & Weapon Charges

At approximately 2:15 am Monday morning (July 8), while on routine patrol, Officers observed a female near Exhibition Drive that had an outstanding arrest warrant.  Officers arrested her without issue and observed drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view.    Officers seized a quantity of Fentanyl, cash, knife, drug paraphernalia  and a cell phone.

A 26 year old Charlottetown female has been charged with CDSA 5(2), Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and breach of probation.

The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
