At 10:20 pm last night (Aug 10), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of an unwanted person on Weymouth Street. Upon Police arrival, the male was observed carrying a large rock and is alleged to have run towards the Police vehicle and threw the rock striking the rear portion of the vehicle . Police arrested the male whom was experiencing a mental health episode. He was brought to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for assessment. The matter remains under investigation and charges are pending.
