While on routine patrol at 3:00 am Sunday morning, Police observed a male that was causing a disturbance on Kent Street.
The male was intoxicated and disrupting other patrons of a local business. Police arrested the male for causing a disturbance at which point he became aggressive. A 22 year old Pownal male has been charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting a Police Officer.
The accused spent the night in jail and was later released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
