Mr. MOONEY is still missing, Police wish to provide an update on the his last sighting.
Mr. MOONEY was last seen walking northbound on confederation trial yesterday at 11:17 am (April 16) at the intersection of the Arterial Highway and Mount Edward Road. He is believed to have continued walking north on the trail from that point.

Charlottetown Police Services are seeking public assistance in locating a missing person.
Joseph MOONEY, 60 years old, was last seen today (April 16) on Queen Street and Sydney Street at 10:07 a.m.
He was last seen wearing:
Red/purple t-shirt
Dark cargo pants
Dark bomber jacket
Carrying black camo pattern back pack
Dark ASICS sneakers
wearing blue surgical face mask
5 feet 7 inches tall
Short grey hair and white beard
Blue eyes

On the 5th of April at approximately 7:15 am Charlottetown Police Services and the Charlottetown Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment building on Euston Street. The property contained multiple apartments and approximately 20 people had to be evacuated.
As a result of the investigation, CPS Major Crime Unit have charged a 39 year old Charlottetown female under section 433(a) – Arson, disregard for human life.
She has been released from custody with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
The CPS Officer that suffered smoke inhalation while evacuating people from the building is doing well and will be returning to his duties soon.

At 11:00 pm last night (April 6), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of two males involved in a fight at a residence on Euston Street. Both male knew each other and did not sustain any significant injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 45 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with assault. He has been released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

On the 27th of March at approximately 11:28pm Charlottetown Police Services and the Charlottetown Fire Department responded to a working structure fire on Norwood Road. The property contained a vacant two storey home that was completely destroyed by the fire.
As a result of the investigation, CPS Major Crime Unit have charged a 25 year old male and a 23 year old female with Arson. Both have been released from custody with conditions and are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on April 26th at 1:00pm.

At 00:25 Saturday morning (March 27), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a male trying to fight with patrons at a restaurant on Kent Street.
Upon arrival, Police located an intoxicated male and advised him that he was no longer welcome inside the restaurant and would have to leave. The intoxicated male then directed his attention to another Police Officer that was sitting in a patrol vehicle . The male approached the Police vehicle and began arguing with the Officer and challenged him to fight. The male was subsequently arrested and during the arrest, the male resisted Police and broke the side window out of the Police vehicle.
As a result, a 23 year old Cornwall male has been charged with mischief under $5000 dollars, assault police and resist arrest.
The accused has since been released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Charlottetown Police Services are investigating the theft of a “side by side” ATV that occurred at 3:30 am on Tuesday morning (March 23).
The ATV was stolen from Centennial Auto Sport and Tire on the Sherwood Road. The ATV was driven off the property and headed east on Sherwood Road.
The ATV (side by side) is a black 2020 Honda Pioneer 1000-3, with PEI license plate 7H67, actual vehicle pictured below.

UPDATE (March 25 11:30) – The suspect has been identified, Police wish to thank the public for their assistance.
Police are re-circulating this suspect picture in hopes that someone will identify him. On February 5th 2021, Police received a report that this male started a verbal argument with a 72 year old male that was having coffee at a local coffee shop on University Avenue. It was reported that the argument escalated and the suspect proceeded to spit in the face of the elderly male and fled the coffee shop.

Late Sunday afternoon, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a domestic violence complaint that occurred earlier in the day while the couple were out for a drive.
As a result of the investigation a 21 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with:
Assault
Forcible confinement
Mischief under $5000
Uttering threats (2 counts)
Breach of Probation
The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date. The female victim did not require medical attention for her injuries.

Shortly after 10:00 pm last night (Sunday March 21), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a large gathering on St Peters Road. Upon arrival Police observed between 20 to 25 people at the residence. A 26 year old male was issued a $1000 dollar ticket in violation of section 39(8) of the Public Health Act which prohibits indoor personal gatherings in excess of 10 people.
