Stabbing Suspect Identified – Wanted

As a result of the ongoing investigation into the stabbing that occurred Sunday night on Andrews Court, Charlottetown Police Services Major Crime Unit have issued an arrest warrant for 23 year old Jordan Michael MACLENNAN.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a suspicious person complaint this morning at 2:45 am near a construction area on the Beach Grove Road.

Police located bicycle tracks and followed the tracks to a nearby mobile construction office located on a construction site. A 27 year old Charlottetown man was located inside the mobile office and was arrested.   The accused is being charged with:

  • Break and Enter
  • Possession of Break in instruments
  • Breach of Probation
  • Fail to comply with a Release Order (two counts)

The accused is currently in custody and will appear for a remand hearing later today.

Charlottetown Police Services were called to a residence on Andrews Court shortly before midnight last night in response to a stabbing.

The Major Crime Unit was called to the scene and is continuing with it’s investigation.  The victim, a 31 year old male, is recovering at the QEH with non life threatening injuries.

Police believe the victim and suspect(s) were known to each other – there is no risk to the public.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of an erratic driver on St Peters Road shortly after noon on Saturday (Mar 7).  The suspect vehicle was located on Gower Street a short time later.   The driver displayed signs of being impaired by drugs and was arrested.  An officer trained as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) confirmed the driver was under the influence of drugs and made the demand that a blood sample be provided.  Impaired driving charges are pending the blood sample toxicology results.  A 31 year old Charlottetown man was released from custody with a 90 day driving prohibition order and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

Charlottetown Police Services are investigating the theft of a vehicle that occurred sometime Friday morning (Mar 6). The vehicle was last seen parked in the Charlottetown Mall parking lot (670 University Ave).

The vehicle is a grey 2016 Toyota Corolla, bearing PEI plate HEA.  The vehicle also had a New England Patriots custom front license plate.

Charlottetown Police Services Major Crime Unit have charged an 18 year old male UPEI student with Voyeurism in connection with an incident that occurred in a washroom on UPEI campus.

Charlottetown Police Services Major Crime Unit is investigating a suspicious person complaint received on Saturday.

It’s alleged that a male had asked a young girl to get in his vehicle, she declined and ran home and told her mother.  The mother in turn called police to report the incident.

The male has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.  At this point of the investigation, Police can say this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.

Charlottetown Police Services have arrested two individuals in connection to several crimes committed over the last week.  The pair were located walking on Euston Street at 1 am on Saturday morning and arrested by Patrol Officers.

A 31 year old Charlottetown male is being charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, breach of probation (x2) and fail to comply with an undertaking (x2).

A 26 year old Charlottetown female is being charged with break and enter (x2), breach of probation (x2) and fail to comply with an undertaking (x2).

Both individuals have been remanded in custody and will appear in court later this week.
