As the result of an ongoing drug investigation, the Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit have charged 4 persons following a vehicle stop on Thursday night.
At 8:00 pm Thursday night, a vehicle associated to the investigation was pulled over on the Sherwood Road. A significant quantity of Crystal Meth and cash was seized. Police also seized marijuana, hash, speed, weapons and other drug related paraphernalia.
Four persons (all Charlottetown residents), a 32 year old male, a 24 year old male, a 45 year old female and a 35 year old female have all been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act).
They have been released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At 10:20 pm last night, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint at a business on Kent Street where a patron was reportedly causing a disturbance. Attempts to deescalate the situation were unsuccessful.
A 63 year old Charlottetown male was arrested and has been charged with causing a disturbance, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and unauthorized possession of a firearm. The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Yesterday afternoon, June 28th, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a call of suspicious persons inside a residence on Bayfield Street.
Upon arrival, Police located two individuals that were inside the residence without permission from the owner. The male and female were arrested and taken into custody.
A 26 year old Charlottetown male and a 20 year old Charlottetown female have been charged with unlawfully being in a dwelling house, fail to comply with an Undertaking and breach of probation. The male and female were on court orders to have no contact with each other.
They remain in custody and will appear in Provincial Court today.

At 2:00 am Saturday morning, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of people fighting outside a residence on Upper Hillsborough Street.
Upon arrival Police located a female with minor injuries to her face. It was determined that two females were involved in an altercations which also led to a parked vehicle being damaged.
A 33 year old Charlottetown woman was charged with mischief under $5000 dollars. She will appear in Provincial Court at a later.
While at the scene, Police also arrested a 55 year old Charlottetown man whom had an arrest warrant for other unrelated matters. He remains in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

While investigating another mater on Friday night at a business on Queen Street, Police were flagged down by a passer by and indicated he had just witnessed a woman being assaulted. Officers did locate a female nearby that had some minor injuries to her face.
The investigation led Police to arrest the females boyfriend a few hours later.
A 41 year old Charlottetown man has been charged with Assault. He was released from custody with conditions to have no contact with the female victim and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
Charlottetown Police Services have made two arrests in relation to theft from vehicles.
Over the last 3 to 4 weeks, Police have seen an increase in theft from vehicles and had advised the public to remove valuables from vehicles and keep the doors locked. In many cases, items such as purses and wallets were stolen. The thieves then attempt to use the tap feature on the stolen credit/debit cards to make purchases in local businesses.
Over the weekend, Police arrested two males in connection to some of these thefts.
A 36 year old Charlottetown man has been charged with unauthorized use of a credit card, possession of property obtained by crime (two counts) and breach of probation. The accused has been remanded in custody.
The second male, a 25 year old Charlottetown man has been charged with unauthorized use of a credit card and breach of probation. The accused is currently in custody and will appear in Provincial Court tomorrow for a show cause hearing.
Despite these recent arrests, Police encourage the public to remain vigilant: continue to remove valuable from your vehicle, keep the doors locked and should you see suspicious activity report it to Police immediately.

Charlottetown Police Services have laid Break and Enter charges in relation to a complaint of a male caught on video surveillance entering a shed on a residential property on Queen Street at 5:15 am yesterday morning (June 23).
Police were able to identify the male on video and located him yesterday afternoon and placed him under arrest.
A 30 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with two counts of Breach of Probation and a single count of Break and Enter. The male was released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At approximately 1:00 am this morning Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a male and female arguing on Queen Street.
Police located the male and female and determined that they had been involved in a verbal argument prior to Police arrival. While investigating this complaint, Police determined that the female was intoxicated by alcohol and was arrested for impaired driving. A small quantity of cocaine was also located on the female.
As a result of the investigation, a 23 year old Charlottetown female was subsequently charged with refusing to comply with a breath demand and possession of a controlled substance and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
