Charlottetown Police Services are investigating the theft of a vehicle from a residence on Alexander Drive. It was reported stolen Sunday morning and believed to have occurred near 4:00 am.  The last vehicle sighting was at 9:10 am on the Heartz Road in East Royalty.

The vehicle is a light grey 2007 Honda Civic which was bearing PEI plate 634PX at the time of the theft.  The picture below is similar to the one stolen.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Brackley Point Road and MacAleer Drive yesterday afternoon at 1:40 pm.

A pick up truck driving east on MacAleer Drive failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a school bus that was traveling south on the Brackley Point Road.   There were no students on the bus at the time.  No injuries were reported to Police and both vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the pick up truck was issued a Highway Traffic Act ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit, with the assistance from the Rapid Tactical Deployment Unit and Patrol Officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act Search Warrant at a residence on Kent Street Friday afternoon (Nov 19).

Police seized a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

A 46 year old Charlottetown male and a 46 year old Charlottetown female were arrested on scene and both have been charged with possession of drugs (crystal meth) for the purpose of trafficking.   They were both released on conditions and will appear in Provincial Court next week.

While on routine patrol Saturday morning (Nov 13) at 1:40 am, Police observed a vehicle driving erratically and pulled it over on Mount Edward Road.  The driver of the vehicle displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 19 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.   The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Charlottetown Police Services encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving…Call 911.

On November 9th at approx. 7PM, Charlottetown Police Services attended the area of J. Frank MacAuley Park at the request of The Charlottetown Fire Inspector who was responding to a complaint of fireworks having been set off in the area.

Upon arrival police learned that three individuals had been setting off fireworks illegally which nearly struck other persons that were nearby and did cause a small brush fire that had to be extinguished by the fire inspector.

Charlottetown Police are seeking the assistance of the public in providing any information that may assist in identifying the individuals responsible.

Charlottetown Police Services is reminding the public to keep a close eye on their drinks when out in local drinking establishments.

The Major Crime Unit is currently investigating two reports of females believed to have ingested noxious substances while consuming alcohol at drinking establishment in downtown Charlottetown.  In one of the instances, toxicology testing confirm the presence of a noxious substance.

Investigations are ongoing, and Charlottetown Police encourage patrons who are consuming beverages at drinking establishments to be mindful of these incidents.

Anyone who suspects having ingested a noxious substance should attend the QEH, seek medical attention and report it to the authorities immediately.

Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit, with the assistance from the Rapid Tactical Deployment Unit and Patrol Officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act Search Warrant at a residence on Patterson Drive Wednesday evening (Nov 3).

Police seized a quantity of cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

A 56 year old Charlottetown male was arrested on scene and has been charged with two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation.   The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court next week.

A second male , a 35 year old Charlottetown male, who was inside the residence at the time was also arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.  He has also been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At approximately 3:44 pm yesterday afternoon (Nov 3), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Pond Street.  Police located the vehicle and determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol.   The driver, a 66 year old Charlottetown male refused to provide breath samples and was subsequently charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

On Sunday afternoon, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a female that stole a package from a residence doorstep on Euston Street.  With assistance from the public, Officers were able to locate the suspect on Alexander Drive.

As a result, a 30 year old Charlottetown female was charged with theft under 5000 dollars.  The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
