Robbery – Charges Laid

At 9:30 pm last night (Dec 13), Charlottetown Police Services responded to an assault complaint at a residence on Hunt Avenue.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a male was assaulted and robbed by his daughter.  The daughter was located shortly after and arrested.

A 45 year old Charlottetown woman has been charged with robbery and breach of probation.   She had three outstanding arrest warrants at the time of arrest and has been remanded in custody until her next court appearance.

 

Charlottetown Police Services have charged three individuals with impaired driving over the weekend in separate incidents.

File: 20211836814 – At approximately 12:38 pm Friday afternoon (Dec 10), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a driver that appeared to be passed out behind the wheel in a business parking lot on University Avenue.  While interacting with the driver, Police determined that she was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 24 year old Charlottetown female refused to provide breath samples and was subsequently charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

File: 20211846813 – At 2:37 pm Sunday afternoon,  Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Euston Street.   Police located the vehicle and determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 40 year old Charlottetown female was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

File: 20211847425 – At 5:55 pm Sunday afternoon, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver near the Arterial Highway.  Police located the vehicle and determined that the driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 73 year old Charlottetown female refused to provide breath samples and was subsequently charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

All charged individuals will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a male entering a detached garage at a residence on Rochford Street this morning at 5:40 am.

Upon Police arrival, the male suspect fled on foot.  After a brief foot chase the suspect was arrested.  As a result of the investigation a 30 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with break and enter, breach of probation and failing to comply with an undertaking.

The accused remains in custody and will appear in Provincial Court this afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday and donated money towards the Feed a Family turkey drive. We were able to get 100 turkeys, which worked out to be over $3200.00 raised for the Upper Room Food Bank.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to three separate impaired driving complaints within a three hour period on Saturday evening (Dec 4).

File: 20211809690 – At 5:35 pm Saturday evening, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a suspicious person acting erratically inside her parked vehicle at a business parking lot on University Avenue.  Officers attended and located the vehicle. While interacting with the driver, Police determined that she displayed signs of being impaired by drugs and was arrested.  An officer trained as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) confirmed the driver was under the influence of drugs and made the demand that a blood sample be provided.

A 28 year old Summerside female was released from custody with a 90 day driving prohibition order. Impaired driving charges are pending the blood sample toxicology results.

File: 20211810282 – At 7:10 pm Saturday evening ,  Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a vehicle that had driven onto the grass portion of an apartment building on Summer Street and that the driver appeared to by impaired.   Police located the vehicle and spoke with the driver on scene and determined that he was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 22 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

File: 20211810710 – At 8:35 pm Saturday evening, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on University Avenue.  Responding Officers located the vehicle on Allen Street and pulled it over.  The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 36 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

All charged individuals will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

While interacting with the driver, Police determined that the driver displayed signs of being impaired by drugs and was arrested.  An officer trained as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) confirmed the driver was under the influence of drugs and made the demand that a blood sample be provided.

A 27 year old Summerside male was released from custody with a 90 day driving prohibition order. Impaired driving charges are pending the blood sample toxicology results.

The Community Action Team Patrol Officers took some time to patrol the Hillsborough Park community in the antique Car 52.

A 47 year old Cornwall male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.   The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At approximately 8:00 pm on Friday (Nov 26), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Kent Street.  The collision was minor and no injuries were reported.

Police determined that one of the drivers displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 57 year old Charlottetown female refused to provide breath samples and was subsequently charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
