Charlottetown Police Services is seeking public assistance to identify the owner of a vehicle that was involved in a hit & run in a business parking lot on St Peters Road Monday at 10;56 am. The “run” vehicle is a dark grey Toyota, possible a Highlander. The vehicle should have passenger side front end damage.

While on routine patrol at 3:45 am Sunday morning, a Patrol Officer noticed a vehicle pull into a business parking lot on Euston Street and exit the vehicle. The driver of that vehicle appeared unsteady on his feet and prompted the Officer to go speak with him. The Officer determined that the driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 36 year old Cornwall male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was also issued a 90 day driving prohibition order and the vehicle has been impounded for 30 days.
The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of two males in a heated argument at the Outreach Center yesterday (May 12) at noon. A male from a nearby residence attended the Outreach Center and confronted a client from the Outreach Center claiming that he had stolen his bicycle.
The investigation into the matter has resulted with a 35 year old Charlottetown male being charged with possession of stolen property and mischief under $5000 dollars.
The accused was released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court on June 30th, 2022.

Charlottetown Police Services are investigating a suspicious death that occurred yesterday evening (May 5th) at a residence on St Peters Road. Police remain on scene.
The CPS Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit. An autopsy will be performed this morning.
