Charlottetown Police Service is investigating a case of arson that occurred on September 20th.  The male suspect set fire to three dumpsters at 300 Kent Street.

Charlottetown Police Services is investigating the report of a firearm found at a city residence on Saturday (Nov 12).

Police responded to a residence on Trafalgar Street where a riffle inside a fabric firearm carrying case was left on the homeowners property.   Police were contacted by the firearm owner on Sunday and learned that the owner had been hunting in NB and upon his return to PEI, had been transferring items from one vehicle to another and the case had been inadvertently left behind.

The investigation is ongoing to determine if charges will be laid.

Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit arrested a male yesterday morning (Nov 8) in relation to an ongoing drug investigation.  Officers executed a search warrant on the vehicle that the male was arrested in and a firearm with ammunition was located.

As a result of the investigation, a 30 year old male has been charged with six (6) firearm related offences; Unlawful possession of a restricted weapon, unlawful transportation of a restricted weapon, unlawful possession of a restricted weapon with ammunition, possession of a restricted weapon without a license, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and possession of a weapon while prohibited.

In addition to the firearm charges, the accused is also facing a charge under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.    This charge stems from a residential search warrant executed in June and resulted with a quantity of drugs seized at that time.

The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court tomorrow.

Family last heard from him on Friday Nov 4th and are concerned for his wellbeing.

There is no clothing description available.  Denver is 5 feet 10 inches tall, brown hair, blue eyes.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a single vehicle collision near the Greenwood Drive/St Peters Road roundabout yesterday afternoon at approximately 4:15 pm. A vehicle lost control in the roundabout and struck a utility pole.   The damaged pole caused significant traffic delays while it was being replaced.

Responding officers determined that the driver of the vehicle displayed signs of being impaired by drugs and was arrested.  Impaired driving charges are pending the blood sample toxicology results. During the course of this investigation, Police located a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

The vehicle passenger was not injured and the driver was brought to the QEH and later cleared without injuries.

A 36 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.   He remains in custody and will appear in Provincial Court this afternoon.

Charlottetown Police Services is investigating the theft of a vehicle from a residence on Maypoint Road at approximately 3:00 am on Wednesday (October 5).

The vehicle is a grey 2021 Mazda CX5, it was bearing PEI plate 420XC at the time of the theft.   The picture below is similar to the one stolen.

  • Colton CLARKIN  27 years old
  • 5 feet 9 inches tall , approximately 150 pounds.
  • Brown hair, blue eyes
  • Wearing dark shirt and pants, may be wearing a black and white scarf on his head.

He was last seen at approximately 3:30 am this morning (Oct 6th, 2022) near Murchison Lane.
