Flight from Police – Assist to Identify

At 8:08 pm Saturday evening (May 18), Police attempted to pull over a blue Kawasaki motorcycle on Thompson Drive.  The motorcycle did not stop and fled at a high rate of speed, Police did not pursue for public safety reasons.  The last known direction of the motorcycle was captured by E-Watch surveillance heading North on Brackley Point Road.

Charlottetown Police Services are investigating an assault file that occurred at a business establishment on Kent Street upon closing time at 2:00 am Saturday April 14th, 2024.  We are seeking public assistance in identifying these three males.

Charlottetown Police Services are currently investigating four (4) separate occurrences where counterfeit US 100 dollar bills are being passed to un-suspecting businesses.

Business owners and the public are being advised about these bills in circulation.   Upon examination, it’s obvious these bills are fake.   The words “Movie Prop Use Only” is printed on the front and back.

While on routine patrol at 2:15 am Saturday morning (May 11), Officers pulled over a vehicle that had been driving in an erratic manner on Kent Street. The male driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 19  year old Brackley PEI male was subsequently charged with impaired driving after providing breath samples that were above the legal limit.

The accused was released from custody will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Charlottetown Police Services is reminding the public  to  plan ahead and never get behind the wheel when their ability to drive is impaired by drugs or alcohol.

At approximately 7:45 pm Friday evening (May 3), Charlottetown Police Services responded to an erratic driving complaint in the area of Buchanan Drive.  Officers located the vehicle stationary in a business parking lot.  Upon speaking with the driver, Officers determined that he was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.  He was brought back to the Police Station and refused to provide breath samples.

A 28 year old  West Covehead male has been charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At approximately 7:20 pm last night (Apr 30), Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit, with assistance from the Major Crime Unit and the Rapid Tactical Deployment & Containment Team arrested without incident 35 year old Michael BEBEE at a business establishment on Belvedere Avenue.

Charlottetown Police Services were contacted by Toronto Police Services late last week requesting assistance with tips they had received indicating that Michael BEBEE may be on PEI evading a Canada Wide warrant for his arrest.   BEBEE was wanted for a Murder that occurred  July 23, 2023  in Toronto.  Following the arrest, BEBEE was lodge at the Provincial Correctional Centre.  Homicide Detectives from the Toronto Police Service will be traveling to PEI to transport him back to Ontario in the coming days.

Michael BEBEE is listed as #1 on Canada’s 25 most wanted persons on the Bolo Program.  The Bolo (Be on the lookout) Program is a breakthrough initiative leveraging social media, technology, and innovative engagement to encourage citizens to be on the lookout for Canada’s most wanted and possibly be eligible for awards up to $100,000 dollars.  Since 2018, the program actively cooperates with many Canadian and US law enforcement agencies as well as Crime Stoppers.  Link for their website is:   www.boloprogram.org/

Shortly after midnight this morning (Apr 23), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a possible impaired driver on Prince Street, the complainant told Police that the vehicle had been parked and running for a half hour.  Police located the stationary vehicle with a male in the drivers seat passed out with a can of beer in the cup holder.  The Officer woke the male up and  determined that he was showing signs of  being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 43  year old Stratford male was subsequently charged with impaired driving after providing breath samples that were twice the legal limit.

The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At approximately 9:30 pm Wednesday night (April 17), the Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit with assistance from the Charlottetown Police Services Rapid Tactical Deployment & Containment Team conducted a targeted traffic stop on Grafton Street and arrested two males and one female for drug offences. Subsequently, both units executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act Search Warrant at a residence on Fitzroy Street and arrested a third male inside the residence.

Officers seized over half a kilogram of cocaine, 274 oxycodone/percocet tablets,  drug paraphernalia and  $2271.00 dollars in cash.

Tracy CURRAN from Glenwilliam, PEI and Craig SAVIDANT from Charlottetown have been charged with CDSA 5(2) –  Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.  They have been released on conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Blake WOOD from Victoria Cross, PEI has been charged with CDSA 5(2) –  Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and CDSA 5(2) – Possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.  Timothy CHANDLER from Charlottetown has been  charged with CDSA 5(2) –  Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.  Both have been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At 8:35pm Friday evening (Apr 12), Charlottetown Police Services responded to several complaints of a male that had damaged a Hotel room and was on foot  north of the Perimeter Highway on the Brackley Point Road and had struck a passing vehicle with a Hammer.

Upon arrival, Police were informed that the male had returned to his Hotel room.   Police located the male and arrested him without incident.   He was brought to the QEH for evaluation, then lodged in jail for the night.

As a result of the investigation, a 29 year old Cornwall male has been charged with mischief over $5000 dollars and causing a disturbance.  He has since been released from custody with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
