Motor Vehicle Collision – Impaired Driving Charges Laid

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Allen Street at approximately 4:30pm on Thursday afternoon.

The Investigator determined that the lone occupant and driver showed signs of impairment by alcohol.A 28 year old Charlottetown woman was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.Charlottetown Police Services encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving…Call 911.

Charlottetown Police Services have laid charges in connection to the thefts of two poppy donation cans.

The first theft occurred on November 3rd from a business located on Great George Street. A second theft occurred on November 7th from a business located on St Peters Road. The thefts were captured on video surveillance and the suspect identified by Investigators working both cases. A 25 year old Charlottetown man was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation. The accused was released pending his appearance in Provincial Court at a later date.

Charlottetown Police Services are investigating the theft of a grey 2014 Ford Edge SUV which was taken from a Charlottetown residence in the early morning hours on Sunday October 28th.

At the time of the theft, the vehicle was bearing PEI license plate 013KG and had a sticker in the rear window “Crazy Horse Lady” with a picture of a horse.Anyone with information about this crime or who may know the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle can contact Charlottetown police at 902-629-4172 or PEI Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Charlottetown Police Services were called to investigate two separate possible impaired drivers on Prince Street.Both male suspects were seen leaving a downtown drinking establishment and were observed getting into separate vehicles attempting to drive away. Police located the vehicles and both suspect drivers. The investigation has led to both subjects (a 32 year old Cornwall man and a 38 year old Alexandra man) being charged independently with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle.Both accused have been released and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.Charlottetown Police Services encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving…Call 911.
