Community Initiatives

Annual Turkey Drive

Every year, CPS members host an annual Turkey Drive in support of Upper Room Food Bank. CPS members donate their time to help collect donations (both turkeys and monetary) for local families ahead of the holiday season.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

The Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program matches a child 6 to 17 years of age (Little Sister/Little Brother) with a caring adult (Big Sister/Big Brother) over the age of 18. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests and is supported by experienced caseworkers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.

Canadian Blood Services

Patients depend on Canadian Blood Services to manage a safe, secure and cost-effective blood system. Each year, CPS members participate in Sirens For Life, a national initiative that engages first responders across Canada to help save lives through blood and plasma donations, and by raising awareness for the importance of stem cell, organ, and tissues donations.
